Speech-language Delays

Speech-language delays can be caused by a variety of conditions that affect receptive and expressive language, including articulation disorders. After comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis, therapy is tailored to individual areas of delay.

Swallowing Disorders

Swallowing disorders affect the muscles that control swallowing, and are often associated with other neurological conditions. Diagnosis and treatment focuses on all phases of swallowing, including oral and pharyngeal phases.

Resonance Disorders

Resonance disorders, caused by either structural or functional issues, result in too much or too little oral and/or nasal sounds in speech signaling. Treatment involves strengthening muscles, modifying speech patterns, and practicing correct sound placement and production.

Voice Disorders

Voice disorders affect voice quality, loudness, and pitch that vary from someone's age, cultural background, location, and gender. Therapy addresses factors that affect voice production, reduces barriers to successful communication, and helps foster new strategies and skills for communication.
